Light Sculpture

CITRIC RADIAL ASYMMETRY

Inspired by a singular juice vesicle or pocket of a grapefruit, this light fixture combines a radially asymmetrical armature with a delicate baffle constructed from layers of ivory chiffon fabric. The armature, made from acrylic, becomes invisible, but firmly structures the piece from within. When illuminated, the fabric warmly diffuses the light through varied gathered moments creating the sense of movement.
